• Cedarwood Essential Oil

The aroma of Cedarwood is woody and warm with a slight citrusy and balsamic sweetness. This variety is native to the middle east and is a true cedarwood oil, rather than Juniperus virginia which is the red cedar that is used commonly for furntiure.

Cedarwood was one of the first oils to be distilled and was prized by the Egyptians, who used it for skincare and embalming practices because of its ability to preserve.

Cedarwood is reported to strengthen the spirit, aid in meditation and grounding, calm, and release feelings of anxiousness. Cedarwood can also be used in a carrier oil to relieve dry skin.

Popular uses are in a carrier oil for massage (15 drops per ounce of oil), sprinkled on a tissue for inhalation, or in an aromatherapy diffuser. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
